Two very young teams meet each other in the second round of Eredivisie on Sunday, where unlike the final outcome only goals look certain.
After a very decent summer preparing period, when they achieved four victories in six friendlies, Utrecht suffered a 2-3 defeat in Rotterdam within the first round. To make matter worse, they suffered the defeat in spite of having a man more on the field almost the whole second halftime. Feyenoord scored two goals without excluded defender Karsdorp, while Utrecht only managed to score second goal from penalty spot in the sixth minute of the injury time, and Haller was scorer of both goals. In spite of the defeat, they were equal in all other segments of the game. Defender Ramon Leeuwin and centre forward Ruud Boymans are sidelined due to injuries.
Probable starting line-up of FC Utrecht (3-5-2): Ruiter – Letschert, van der Maarel, Kum –Klaiber, Ramselaar, Janssen, Ayoub, Nganioni – Barazite, Haller
Unlike their host in the upcoming round, Heerenveen achieved a 3-1 victory over Graafschap at home, which was their sixth victory since the last season ended. Other five victories were achieved in friendlies within preparing period, and most of the opponents were from Netherlands. Their last test ended in a 0-1 defeat against Mallorca, which was the second game in which did not score a single one goal since May 25, when they was defeated with a 0-1 by Feyenoord. In the last season they were quite successful as guests, being unbeaten in 11 of 17 visits, with 20 goals scored and 25 received. Defenders Joost van Aken and Doke Schmidt are out due to injuries.
