Sandefjord got relegated from Tippeligaen last season and is now preparing for a tough season in 1st Division this season. They have travelled to La Manga after taking a comfortable win in their last club friendly in Norway against Notodden (4-0) from 2nd Division.

Their coach Lars Bohinen was satisfied with the play that his team showed during the game as they mostly had control. Sandefjord took an early 2-0 lead as they enjoyed total control in the first 35 minutes, before letting Notodden a bit into the game. Sandefjord was able to take the pressure off in the second half as they added another couple of goals which made the result clear. Their offensive midfielder Kristoffer Normann Hansen had an amazing experience as he scored all four goals from his midfield-position which could be a nice weapon in the upcoming season. Sandefjord has also an interesting combination of players. Despite much of the players enjoyed their first meeting with Tippeligaen last season, several players with years of experience from Tippeligaen is to be found here as well. Peter Kovacs (Tromso, Viking, Odd, Stromsgodset, Sarpsborg 08), Erik Mjelde (Brann, Lillestrom), Havard Storbaek (Odd), Geir Ludvig Fevang (Haugesund), Lars Grorud (Brann), Kjell Rune Sellin (Rosenborg) and Kevin Larsen (Lyn, Tromso, Honefoss). They should therefore be one of the biggest favorites to get back up in Tippeligaen this season.
