FERNANDO Forestieri is set to sharpen up Sheffield Wednesday's attack with a timely return from suspension against Hull City.

Forestieri, who scored when the sides drew 1-1 at Hillsborough in October, missed the 1-1 draw with QPR on Tuesday after being sent off in last weekend's narrow loss at Preston.

The Italian is expected to come straight back in at the KC Stadium and could replace Atdhe Nuhiu alongside the red-hot Gary Hooper.

Manager Carlos Carvalhal should get another boost with the return of Sam Hutchinson. The influential central midfielder has missed the last three games with a knee problem and his return would add tenacity to the Owls' engine-room.

Carvalhal also has decisions over the freshness of his starting XI ahead of a third game in seven days.

Glenn Loovens, Joe Bennett, Lewis McGugan and Lucas Joao all offer options but Wednesday's bench will not include Jeremy Helan after he was allowed to join Wolves on loan until the end of the season.
