Nuremberg drew their last match with 1-1 away against the relegation strugglers Fortuna Dusseldorf, but that was not that bad result as they were losing with 1-0 up until the last eight minutes of the game. Anyhow, that was Nuremberg`s sixth straight unbeaten match and now they are three points behind direct promotion places.
Nuremberg`s biggest strength this season is their home ground. They are still the only side in the 2.Bundesliga that is still without a home defeat. They won six and drew five of their eleven home matches played this season. Counting together the last few home matches from the last season, Nuremberg are on a stunning series of 15 straight home matches without a defeat.
Greuther Furth
Greuther Furth are having another tough season in the 2.Bundesliga, but they are very comfortable 14 points above the relegation places. They are also nine points behind the promotion places, but they do not have the capacity to fight for the upper places this season.
Last weekend, Greuther Furth only drew with 1-1 at home against the weakest side in the 2.Bundesliga – MSV Duisburg. Greuther Furth`s recent form has not been that good. They won just once in their last six 2.Bundesliga matches, losing three times and drawing twice.
At away grounds, Greuther Furth won against Heidenheim and FSV Frankfurt, drew against SV Sandhausen, and lost against Karlsruher SC in their latest four away matches.
