Rapid Wien v Valencia Betting Preview – 25/02/16
In our Rapid Wien v Valencia Betting Preview we look at what could be the best possible bet between the two sides.
In Thursday night’s Europa League knockout stage second leg, Gary Neville takes his Valencia side to Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Austria to face Zoran Barisic’s Rapid Wien. The first leg at Estadio de Mestalla was as one sided of a contest as you have ever seen. After the disappointing season they have had so far, the fans of Valencia will not have believed their eyes when they saw their team go 5-0 up within just 35 mins. They went into the break still 5 goals to the good and when they came back out for the second period they looked like they had taken their foot off the gas. The second half only saw 1 goal which again was for the home side. Dani Parejo, Alvaro Negredo, Andre Gomes and Rodrigo got on the scoresheet but the star of the show was Santi Mina who got himself two goals and three assists.
Rapid Wien are currently enjoying a successful campaign in the Austrian Bundesliga, as they sit in 2nd place level on points with Red Bull Salzburg in 1st place, with a 3 lesser goal difference. Consistency seems to be their problem at the minute as their form for the last 5 match’s looks like WLWLW. After Valencia had suffered a horrible stretch of league form under Gary Neville, they look like they might just have turned a corner under the Englishman. They’ve now won their last 3 games on the bounce (including 2 league wins) and will be hoping to extend that run to 4 in Austria on Thursday night.
